THIS IS 5 POINT OF WRONG IN FASHION BLOG
This is a tough subject for me. As an administrative assistant, I spend a lot of time mucking about on the Internet. Friends send me links, I watch videos of baby pandas, I do a little online shopping and I read blogs of many kinds, all while working incredibly hard. So I feel a little hypocritical that talking about personal style blogs, given that I am part of the system that their existence encourages am.
In reading about the Top Five, you probably think I’m a bitter cow that personal style bloggers begrudging their success. To this hotel, I can only say that you are probably right.
And yes, my top five things wrong with personal style blogs:
1) Outside school ill-zines and newspapers, I see no reason why teenagers should be a) a platform from which the whole world can read their opinions and b) said opinions are taken seriously, especially when it comes to fashion. Sure, Tavi is amazing and an exception to the rule and so precious and on the nose and blah blah blah, but in general, teenagers are just awful .* Why do we care if they want to dress like baby prostitutes in Jeffrey Campbell boots? Why are we reading this waste? Imagine the world every know-it-all, precocious declaration that tumbled out of your mouth like a fourteen year old praise. You might be a dick! Almost everything I said was cool or interesting as a teenager, I look back now and shudder at (see last week’s top five for details). There is a reason why we can not let teens vote: they make bad decisions and we would probably experience the Apocalypse a few million years before their opinions had any weight. I see no reason why this does not extend to the personal style blogosphere.
2) On a related note, is fifteen years old hailed as personal style icons because their parents happen to their children enough money to buy hundreds of pairs of shoes to make me want to barf decadent deserve.
3) I’ve already talked about this but Jeffrey Campbell Litas are really ugly, no?
4) “But I’ve re-teaching myself that I’m alone. That we are all alone, but that the stability can be found within it. All we have is our soul and that is a smaller part of the bigger picture of harmony of life. We can never lose ourselves in the illusions of material attachments, because we forget the reality of our confirmation only honest with ourselves …. Anyway. I’m obsessed with my Mark Quick dress. It is a kind the only thing that makes me happy. I wear it like every outting, and it is virtually sluttiest, ugliest thing I own. ”
5) I feel so much for the friends of personal style bloggers. You would have a huge camera on an inconveniently located in popular area to shoot your girlfriend in her hobbling about sexy Jeffrey Campbell at sunset, you would have to deal with the humiliation of a personal style blog photographer, and you should listen to your friend talk about her blog, its unique appearance and how she goes to a “blogger meeting” to talk about the personal style blog.
