| "Let love be your greatest aim." |
| "He has also set eternity in the hearts of men..." |
| "The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech, night after night they display knowledge. Their voice goes out to all the earth." |
| "There are three things that remain- faith, hope and love- and the greatest of these is love." |
| "All the special giftes and powers from God will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever." |

Press Release
Main Street Gallery in Dobbs Ferry,
New York, 2002 |
| "In our increasingly technological age, the act of writing
assumes new meaning as an art form. In Ms. Nigro's pieces,
the graceful shaping of the looping curves employing lines
of varying densities, interact with a surface alive with
subtle textures. The result is a body of work which carries
on a tradition embracing everything from the work of Chinese
artists and scholars through medieval manuscript illumination,
even down to the rapier-like lines of early de Kooning." |
| "In addition to the formal qualities of Ms. Nigro's work,
the content of her poetry expresses an unabashed joy in
living, a celebration of the fact of being. Unlike so much
of today's art which dwells upon the more horrific aspects
of contemporary life, Ms. Nigro's work gives us renewed
hope and even buoyancy. We take away a feeling of having
been nourished and replenished." |
| "Born and raised in upstate New York where she maintains
her residence and studio, Cara Nigro's extensive background
includes study at the prestigious Rhode Island School of
Design, the Boston Museum School, Skidmore, as well as
Florence, Italy. Her work has been exhibited at galleries
in New York, Chicago, Italy, and at the Albany Institute
of History and Art." |
